Friday brought another cloudy morning, but afternoon sunshine. Our nextdoor neighbors, across the alley, are in the process of moving out of their house. They bought a new house in Magnolia. The neighbors across the street are going to rent their house, since their landlord reclaimed their rental for a family member. (Yeah, I know, that's three theirs in one sentence with three different antecedents.)
I went out to look at the yard this morning, but didn't do much watering, just changed out some bottles we have slowly watering the apple trees. No sunflowers have sprouted yet.
After morning meetings and classes, Rachel wanted to go get a new book, but I had some lingering work conversations, so I made her wait until after lunch. Eric came with us. That was my excursion for the day, just a little exercise.
I also went with Nicole to pick up dinner, by car, at Red Mill. Rachel and Eric joined us for the ride. On the way home, we had to avoid a couple moving trucks, which had us driving around in circles. Meanwhile, Phil Collins was on the radio with "Take Me Home."
We had game night with Paola and Abhinav, one game of Splendor and then two of Tokaido. The last game ended in a three-way tie, which was fun. Colin and Lydia were eagerly awaiting the end so they could work on Roblox Studio on the computer. They are working on a new game idea, with some enthusiasm. They had to wait all day because Rachel was using the computer for her native plants project earlier, and schoolwork naturally takes precedence.
We don't have specific plans for an excursion this weekend, but I think we'll try to go somewhere. It sounds like Paola also wants to go to see the petrified ginkgos, but they can't do it this weekend, so I think we'll wait on that.

So many fun things going on!
At least you didn't end up on country roads.
