Tuesday morning, the weather was nice, and we all went to Queen Anne Bowl for exercise for the first time in a while. Nicole and Rachel restarted the program at a faster running pace, and I played soccer with the rest.
After lunch I went outside to water the fruit trees. Some of the small sunflowers have sprouted, and one looked munched on already, so in the evening Rachel and I covered them with plastic cups. There are ten in all so far. I also found a sizeable seedling behind one of the pear trees. When I pulled it out, its root was more than a foot long. I took a picture, and Google Lens' first suggestion was a pawpaw tree. I'm pretty sure that's not right, but the Plant Identification group on Facebook hasn't come through with an ID yet.
After dinner, Nicole had a meeting. Most of the kids didn't want to go for a walk, so I told them they had to stay upstairs and be quiet. Lydia opted to go, so we went for a long walk. She brought along her camera and tripod, but never used them. We ended up at Ken's after more than an hour, and picked up a drink for Lydia and a treat for everyone. On the way back home, we ran into Nicole, who had come to find us.
We finished the new season of Camp Cretaceous. We thought there were only two episodes left, but there were four. I mixed some bread, read to the boys, and set an alarm for the middle of the night. For now, the full moon is visible, and there's a total lunar eclipse beginning around two a.m.
