Monday began with watering and baking, but I was up early enough that even after all that I was still at work on time, which has been unusual for Mondays of late. I thought about going outside after lunch, but instead returned to my office to finish watching a recording of a meeting from last week.
After work, I emerged to make pizza, or something similar, then Nicole had a meeting so I took the kids out for a walk. We took a roundabout route to Ken's, picked up some treats for them, then made a loop around the outside of the cemetery before heading home. They stopped to photograph a small rabbit that Eric spotted near the school. Lydia had brought her camera.
Nationwide case rates continue to decline, with two week differences of around 30%. Maybe the impending openings of several additional states will turn out OK. Washington State's numbers haven't obviously declined yet, but are not rising again, at least.
Unfortunately, first doses of vaccine have further decreased, to about 800 thousand per day nationwide. That may change some now that the FDA has allowed the 12-15 age group to receive the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine.
