Saturday morning our first order of business was Rachel's final basketball game of the season. We went to Franklin High School, home of the Quakers, where Jason Terry's retired jersey number 31 graced the wall. At Ingraham, the only retired jersey was the governor's.
The game was a rout. The other team was overwhelmed by the defense, and didn't score in the first half. The final was 33-8. Rachel made a couple nice passes, including one for an assist, and scored two baskets in the second half.
As we were getting ready to leave, a kid walked in with his mom and said, "Hi, Ms. Tromble." Apparently, someone she had guest taught for, but she didn't recognize him.
Rachel's friend came over later in the morning, and they walked around together. Lydia and Eric went to Coe to play with her friend, and Colin rode his bike there later. Then after he came back one of his friends also came over to play, first outside and then indoors with masks.
Finally, Colin went to see Motorcross racing with a different friend at Lumen Field this evening. He described it as loud and cold, but maybe also had a good time. Meanwhile, Nicole and I watched the first three episodes of the fourth season of Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. I laughed a lot. I don't remember clearly, but I think we last watched that show before the pandemic.
