Lascours Lockdown, Day 144

Wednesday, July 5th. IMM D17.
I stayed awake watching Downton until 1:30am when I noticed the wedding video had become available. I watched it, then turned in about 2am. Luckily, the girls slept an hour later than usual and we didn't get up until 8. I immediately set up the wedding video for them to watch on the TV upstairs. They seemed to be quite impressed by how beautiful and handsome everyone and everything looked. After the viewing, I made Laureva crêpes for breakfast.
Later in the morning, the girls finished getting their school supplies ready with the new name labels that arrived yesterday. Meanwhile, I occupied myself by sorting out the pens and other office supplies in our top office desk drawer (wink to Nicole!).
While the girls were finishing up lunch, I cleaned up the kitchen then had some time for more drawer organizing (sorry, Nicole!). This time, the "junk" drawer in the upstairs entryway.
While the girls read this afternoon, I reviewed an article. While they went swimming, I made a new batch of crusts and baked a quiche. During piano, I sorted through old papers on the office bookshelves. The piano teacher feels that it's hard for the girls to make progress over Skype lessons. She hopes they'll be able to come back in person soon. She doesn't see the rising case numbers as a threat because serious cases have been declining.
This evening, I went to Frederique's for a quick beer before they leave on a two-week camping trip early Friday morning. She reported that Marius had asked her last night whether he could just have English lessons with me and not take any at school. He said he understood better with me. His sentiment is flattering, but less than practical.
