Brief Outing

Today, despite the low gray clouds, I walked downtown and back without getting wet. Tried on some shoes at Shoefly. Left with a dress and a free pair of shoes. At Rainbow, found Ezekiel bread on sale -- got two loaves for Tom and  ginger tumeric tea for me. I'm about out of Trader Joe's ginger tumeric tea, which I've been enjoying. Hoping this will be an acceptable replacement.

Tonight the rain is pouring again. Based on a July news article and the amount of rain since, I'm pretty sure we've set a new summer rain record. Here's what I found on a NOAA site. If it's not readable, the graph is for 2020 and the dark green is above average.

WEATHER CONDITIONS
THE FOLLOWING WEATHER WAS RECORDED YESTERDAY.
  HEAVY RAIN

Free shoes?! What's your trick?

Johnny said he and Elise abandoned Juneau for a while this summer because of the ridiculous, rainy weather.

It is readable. That's a lot of rain.

And, totally unforecast, today the sun appeared!

I had the right size feet for a pair that had been returned. It had been sitting in the stockroom for 6 months and apparently was ready to move on.
