Lascours Lockdown, Day 180

Thursday, September 10th. Happy 9th Birthday to Lucas!
A second rainy day here.
Another short Zoom session this morning to figure out a few more features and verify that the links to meetings we create on the university course platform actually work. Most of the rest of the day I spent working on translations and prep for translation courses with a break in the afternoon for yoga.
After school, I took Maëva to her dance class. It's a bit complicated because there's not enough time to stop at home, but the locker room is closed at the studio due to coronavirus, so Maëva has to change in the car. Today as we drove to dance it was pouring down rain. Luckily, it had let up quite a bit by the time she was changed and ready to get out. I waited in the car during her class reading more of The Red Badge of Courage.
I found a press article from Monday reporting that coronavirus spread in the Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur region (where we are) is currently up to R1.7. Marie-Elisabeth heard that the Prefet is currently studying the possibility of reinstating some restrictions. One idea is apparently to confine seniors age 65 and up as well as people with preexisting medical conditions that make them particularly susceptible to severe forms of Covid-19 . . .
Sylvain and I watched the end of Community this evening followed by the first episode of Orange is the New Black. As I was just about to post, I saw a tarante (little lizard) crawling around on the bedroom wall. I guess I don't mind if he eats all the bugs.
