Colin's first food

Colin's current favorite meal is rice cereal. He was cleared to try solid foods at his four-month check-up on Monday, so Nicole tried it out after we came home from our dinner this evening, while the girls ate their dessert (brownies) and looked on.

Nicole thinks he ate better than either of the girls. (I can't remember.) It's unclear whether that's because of him or because of her. There was plenty of mess, but he did seem to be enjoying it, and a lot of it stayed in.

He's still pretty young, so I imagine we'll take it slow with further introductions. We're almost out of homemade applesauce (down to our last half jar), so he won't have that to enjoy. He'll have to settle for squash and avocado (early favorites of the girls).
