Rachel, Lydia, and I went to the park this afternoon. They rode their bikes for a while, then went to the swings, where I entertained them with parallel underdogs, and then they played on the slides for a while, before returning to their bikes. Lydia wanted to climb up these steps, but there's always been one missing, so she asked for help. I told her to put her belly on the step, and she did the rest.
Last night at the park, when they were showing off their bike-riding skills to their Grandma, I noticed that Lydia's strider bike was no longer tall enough for her, so I raised the seat this morning. I moved it by at least two inches, and it was still not too high. She's starting to figure out how to do more than just walk along holding the handlebars. Today, she was taking a few steps and then lifting her feet for as long as she could balance. She's still not moving particularly fast, but I assume that will happen soon enough.
