Party Girl

Yesterday afternoon, we went to Maëva's friend Timéo's house for his 2nd birthday party. The nice thing about birthday parties for babies/toddlers is that they're basically adult parties, just another excuse for a get-together. We did candles, cake, champagne and presents, followed by apéritif and pizza. Maëva had fun gorging herself on chips with Timéo and sitting at the table eating pasta with the big kids.

She's is getting the birthday lingo down. She can say birthday, cake, present and party quite well. She was in major party mode yesterday as we stayed out until two hours past her bedtime and she didn't even fall asleep in the car on the short ride home. The adults had fun hanging out drinking champagne, chatting, and letting the kids amuse themselves amongst themselves. Today is a holiday in France (Pentecost Monday), so we didn't have to worry about an early wakeup the next day.
