I think it was Saturday morning. I was in the bathroom and heard a noise -- kind of like scratching. It sounded like it was coming from the closet. I couldn't figure it out... until I looked up.

That does not look good. Confronted with a similar sight, I might have shrieked. I'm sure that would have helped.
Did have a roof leak here. The roofers spent about 15 minutes applying caulk and we're hoping it'll pass the next rain test.
