Alaska 2008 Reunion

Michèle Négrel retired a couple of years ago and started writing a book about her life. She's been getting back in touch with various people from her past in order to check facts and discuss her project. Yesterday, she invited us for a goûter with Alicia and Damien De Gracia, the twins that went to Juneau with us in July 2008. They are twenty-nine now and were both accompanied by their significant others: Alicia's husband Olivier, and Damien's girlfriend Camille. Their parents, Brigitte and Denis, were also in attendance. Denis and Michèle went to elementary school together in Beaudinard. Alicia is a physical therapist specializing in athletic injuries and has her own practice. Damien works for the Office de Tourisme in Aubagne and manages their website and social media pages. It was fun to get together again. Unfortunately, though it was sunny, there was a chill wind that sent us indoors. Luckily, we had our masks with us and most of the group seemed like-minded on the topic of mask etiquette.
