Downstate

Saturday we drove down to White Salmon. We left home a little after ten, stopped for lunch in Chehalis at a drive through, and arrived at Dad's a little after three. There was alternating sun and rain, and our windshield wipers were not performing at their best, making the rainy times more work than ideal.

Dad gave us a tour outside first. Then we went inside to see the house and the baby chicks he picked up earlier in the day. We spent a long time watching them. Everyone but Eric came to the Airbnb to drop off our luggage before dinner. We're just a six minute drive away.

We had tacos plus apples and grapes for dinner, then some ice cream for dessert. The kids played outside some, and looked at the chickens more, but especially Colin was anxious to get back to play on the Switch. We didn't bring the right power cord, though, so that didn't end up working. We left Dad's after eight.

We have three bedrooms, each with a queen size bed, so Rachel and Lydia are sharing, as well as Colin and Eric. The boys are used to sleeping in the same room, at least, but the girls are not. Finally, all is quiet. We'll see how it goes.
