Dad warned me Sunday night that the forecast was for a few inches of snow overnight, but we woke up Monday to a foot on the railing. By the time I went outside it looked like fifteen to eighteen inches on the lawn.
The car got stuck in the driveway, and we hadn't found a snow shovel, so we put on the chains for the first time ever. The roads were plowed until we got to Dad's driveway, so we made it there without further incident.
The rest of the morning was spent on blueberry buttermilk pancakes, watching a family of quail come out of the junipers in front, electrical inquiries, and the chicks. I figured out where to sit to get a Boose stole.
After lunch, Dad, Lydia, and I worked on a playpen for the chicks, with help from Rachel and Eric. We got the frame all assembled. The chicken wire will go on next, once Dad decides how the door should work.
Back at the Airbnb, the kids played mancala before bedtime.

Spring Snow Break! What an adventure. Is it sticking around or melting off?
Boose stoles are the best!
The snow melted and settled quite a bit during the day, but there's still solid snow cover Tuesday morning with more flurries expected until late morning. Then it will begin to rain and the melt will resume.
Boose stoles are the boost!
