Lascours Lockdown, Day 508

Wednesday, August 4th. Happy 1st Anniversary to Evan and Julie!

Laureva was feeling better, this morning. The skies were gray and it was quite a bit cooler, today. Various degrees of precipitation fell off and on until late afternoon.
After breakfast, we caught up on the Harper Luna Instagram and quite enjoyed the Luna trampoline videos. I did the exercise bike, then took the girls to Cultura to get their school supplies. After lunch, they started putting name stickers on their items and organizing everything in their backpacks. Maeva basically talked about school supplies and how eager she is for school to start again for the rest of the day.
It started pouring rain just before 1:15 when I had to leave for physical therapy. As I drove, I thought about how scandalized Evan would be by the water flow management. Rather than flowing into the ditches, water was flowing into the streets and running alongside them.
Franck, Loriane and Izia arrived for a visit shortly after 3. As the weather was bad, they came inside. We didn't wear masks as the adults are all fully vaccinated, and it was still possible to have the windows and kitchen doors open for maximum ventilation. In the course of our conversation, a worrying trend came up regarding the use of health passes. It seems that most places we and they have been in the past few weeks have been checking the documents or scanning the QR codes without asking to see a photo ID. Sylvain said they checked at the Rolling Stones exhibit, but not at the festival he went to, and they didn't check at the zoo. Franck and Loriane mentioned a couple activities they'd done where health passes were required, but IDs had not been checked.
This evening, I mixed up a batch of sourdough.
