Lascours Lockdown, Day 531

Friday, August 27th.

This morning, after being released from his cage, Nigel was trying to get out of the tortoise enclosure, so I had to reinforce the rabbit proofing. It seems to have worked.
Besides the exercise bike this morning and yoga this afternoon, we spent most of the day getting things ready for Max's arrival: tidying, cleaning, cooking, making beds . . .
After reading time, the girls frosted a few cupcakes and then played in the loft, where I'm going to be sleeping the next few days. They had never been allowed up there before.
The girls and I picked Max up at the train station in Aubagne about 5pm. He was quickly introduced to the tortoises and Nigel. He did one of our Covid home tests. It came out negative. The girls were fascinated by the process of watching the line appear.
I forgot to report something from Wednesday. When we were having our apéritif at the café in Lourmarin, Sylvain saw the waiter send a patron away because his health pass QR code scan showed not valid.
