Tuesday, May 19th. Reopening Day 9.
After breakfast, Maëva did a bit of coloring on a fabric pillow case from Grandma. Then, I sent the girls to get dressed and we sat down around the dining room table to start on school work, like yesterday. Shortly after 9, they scooped up their work and headed down to Marie-Elisabeth's. Not long after, Sylvain arrived with the groceries and packages from the post office so I entered into disinfection mode. I guess the store hasn't gotten their inventory or their website one hundred percent under control. This week, no soap, so ground cumin and no eggs or chèvre. The eggs and chèvre I ordered somehow mysteriously disappeared from the order even though I remember adding them quite clearly. Sigh.
After spinning, I downloaded and began correcting third-year British literature final exam essays. Luckily, I only had to grade nine and managed to get through them all by the end of the day.
Marie-Elisabeth learned from the pharmacist this morning that Roquevaire (8-9,000 inhabitants) has had two dozen confirmed cases of Covid-19 and three deaths.
Two new bilingual Scooby Doo books arrived in the mail today. The girls took them for reading time. Maëva reportedly read hers twice and Laureva's once.
Relaxing yoga session today in the hot sun. Quite breezy just for tree and other balance pose sequence.
Around twenty to six, Rachel was ready for more Fantastic Beasts with Maëva. Since yesterday, Hangouts has stopped working on our computers, so they tried out Google Meet. Seems to have worked just fine. Laureva laid on my bed and played tablet while Rachel and Maëva read the play. Once again, I had to intervene to cut the girls off for dinner.

Apparently, Sylvain's workout routine also functions as a rain dance. He goes outside to do it and the storms roll in. Every day so far this week! It started absolutely pouring and hailing about a quarter after seven. The turtles' cage quickly filled up with water. I had to rescue them and bring them inside. I found a box for them to hang out in until the storm passes and we can get their cage drained out. Such excitement!

I don't know what's going on with Hangouts. I just opened it successfully from my work laptop.
This morning it wasn't working on my computer, but I tried again after I called you guys, and it was working.
Hmmm, just down for a bit, I guess.
