Thursday, May 21st. Reopening Day 11. Holiday: Ascension. Warm, sunny day.
First thing: tortoise check. Still there.
I spent the morning trying to read Breakfast at Tiffany's, with some success. After spinning, I began inside over a cup of tea as the girls finished an episode of Just Add Magic. Then, I moved our cars down to the carport so the girls would have room to ride bikes. However, they quickly decided not to do that after all, finally landing on bubbles. I continued reading out on the patio while the girls blew bubbles. After awhile, we ended up at the pool. I read and had a cup of Bengal Spice while the girls splashed their feet, then changed into their suits for their first swim of the season in the 20°C water. When it was time for them to get dried off and dressed for lunch at Marie-Elisabeth's, I set about hunting down the pool/beach towels. It took me awhile to figure out where I'd stored them. After looking under the bed, in the drawers in the office and on the shelves in the closet, I finally remembered that they were in a suitcase in the closet. Bingo. I got them out, arranged them nicely in a basket and put it upstairs for easy access.
It's quite warm, today. High forecast at 28°C. I thought it would probably be wise to do yoga in the shade, so I set up on the tile part of the patio, right outside the sliding glass doors to the kitchen, in the two-yard band of shade provided by the house. That worked out just fine, so I guess that'll be my summer outdoor yoga spot.
The girls went swimming again this afternoon. This time with Sylvain. While they were in the pool, I ordered a replacement jump pad and security net for the trampoline and managed to locate all the springs. The trampoline has been out of commission for a year. I've been meaning to fix it up, but never quite got around to getting the pieces ordered until today. Since we'll be spending even more time than usual at home this summer, I figured it'd be a good thing to finally do. The girls do love jumping on trampolines. Parts should arrive first week of June. Hopefully in time for me to get it all set up for Laureva's birthday.

Sylvain went down to Roquevaire to have a beer with Clément and Vincent.
For me, more reading and cooking to finish up the day. Sausage rolls, strawberry salad, tabouli and beet/avocado/red pepper/onion/carrot salad.
MMM tonight with Jenny and Rosie.
